 LIVE GREEN FIELD/OFFICE INTERNSHIP

OVERVIEW

Over the course of this internship, the intern will undergo a 10-week rotational program, spending time in various departments ranging from Residential Hardscapes to Commercial Estimation. Live Green is dedicated to providing valuable learning opportunities as you share your ideas and creativity with the team.

REQUIREMENTS

Enrolled in a Landscape Contracting, Business, Horticulture, Agriculture, or related program. Is highly motivated with a desire to learn. Has proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Has strong verbal and written communication skills. Has a current minimum GPA of 3.0

Week 1

Residential Planting      

Learn how residential planting packages, both foundational plantings and ornamental are carried out by a crew.

Week 2

Commercial Planting    

Learn how commercial plantings, including plants, trees and more, are carried out by a crew.

Week 3

Residential Hardscape 

Learn how residential hardscape packages, including projects such as patios and hardscapes, are carried out by a crew.

Week 4

Commercial Hardscape

Learn how larger-scaled commercial hardscape projects, such as paver installations, are carried out by a crew.

Week 5

Residential Production Management

Learn how to plan and carry out the process of a landscaping project, by scheduling and directing the necessary employees and equipment to properly complete a task.

Week 6

Commercial Production Management  

Learn how to plan and carry out the process of a Commercial project, by scheduling and directing the necessary employees and equipment to properly complete a task.

Week 7

Residential Sales            

Spend time in the residential department, learning how to plan and carry out the process of listening, designing and selling a landscaping project to fit the needs and desires of a customer.

Week 8

Commercial Estimation

Learn how to create commercial job proposals that are sent to general contractors by reviewing necessary drawings and information.

Week 9

Commercial Project Management          

Learn what goes into overseeing all aspects of Commercial projects. This includes estimation, work completion, warranties, and project finances to determine profitability and billing.

Week 10

Free Week        

During the last week, the intern will have the opportunity to spend more time in the department of their choice.
